Labels with Braille are produced using rotary screen printing by applying a higher layer of printing ink or varnish. This allows important product information to be read by touch.
Braille is applied using rotary screen printing, which can be combined with flexographic printing. Using screen printing technology, we apply a layer of printing ink or varnish that is an order of magnitude higher. This achieves an embossing effect, noticeable to the touch.
Rotary screen printing also allows us to apply other elements to the product, whether for security reasons or to highlight an element of your graphics. In short, every element you want to highlight, not only visually but also tactually. We can also apply layers of paint or varnish at different heights.
Braille is used wherever the visually impaired need to obtain product information. You can find it not only in the pharmaceutical industry or food industry, but also in cosmetics and home care products.
In 2010, we won the prestigious World Packaging Organisation Presidentís Award for Best Packaging when we managed to apply Braille directly to a laminate tube.
Using rotary flexo printing, Braille is applied to self-adhesive papers, self-adhesive films, or to materials used to produce laminated tubes.
Adhesive paper labels matt, semi-gloss, or glossy. Semi-gloss paper is fairly typical. Combined with a variety of adhesives, depending on the application.
Adhesive polyethylene (PE) film is flexible and suitable for shaped substrates (bags, flexible surfaces). It is available in transparent or white versions with different types of adhesives.
The properties of adhesive polyester (PET) film make it suitable for special applications. It is highly heat resistant and represents a possible solution for indoor and outdoor use. It is available in white, metallic, and transparent versions. The transparent variant has excellent transparency. Combined with a variety of adhesives, depending on the application.
White, pearl, transparent, or metallic adhesive polypropylene film stands out thanks to its strength. It just will not rip. However, this makes it less flexible and therefore more suitable for inflexible surfaces. Our most used type of film. Combined with a variety of adhesives, depending on the application.
White or transparent laminate film (PE).
Laminate films combined with aluminum (PE/AL).
Rotary screen printing in combination with HD Flexo printing gives us the option of up to 9 additional units for downstream finishing production operations.
For highlighting text in Braille, we can finish the job using rotary screen printing. It allows us to apply a layer of printing ink or varnish that is an order of magnitude higher. This achieves an embossing effect.
Quality is our alpha and omega. We are able to satisfy even the most demanding needs, thanks to the possibility of printing in up to 10 colours and to countless types of finishing. Let your product shine.
We can provide both cold and hot embossing, and we offer both full and partial UV coating. An embossed varnish is a standard feature.
